Possible Locations

After condisering casting for my music video I have also decided on a few possible locations for where I can film scenes in my music video. These are different locations as I have some shots outside and some inside for certain lyrics in the song. The four possible locations I have chosen are a typical teenagers bedroom, outside of a house, inside a car and another outside location such as a park or public footpath.

I chose the first location for my chorus, this is where the couple will be arguing outside in the rain late at night, i thought this park like area would be suitable. I also needed trees as for the lyric 'cursing your name' I will have the girl crossing out his name on a tree, from where they have written it before when they were a couple.

The second location I chose was steps, the reason for this is for when the artist is lip syncing I will show her on different steps starting from the top and ending at the bottom. This will go to the beat of the song where she will be lip syncing.

My last location is a typical teenage girls bedroom, this is where it will show her looking through photos and also lip syncing about the boy.

Casting

For my music video I have started to think about my cast members, I have decided that I will need roughly 5 cast members. I will need a teenage girl and boy to play my main characters, these will be a couple and then another three characters to play a group of friends at the beginning of the video. The people I have decided to cast are:

Chloe Robinson: Playing the main character, Taylor Swift.

I chose Chloe as I feel she will play the character well and that she has similarities to Taylor Swift and also has a similar style.

Boy main character- Matthew Earl.

I chose Matthew as he is a A-level Performance studies student and I feel he will fit the part of Taylor Swifts partner.

Group Of Friends

I chose these three as I feel they will suit the role and have the style of clothing I would like to be shown in my video, and they will look like a group of friends.

Animatic Storyboard

After completing my storyboards I have created an animatic, this is my storyboards put altogether to see roughly what my music video will look like. However, when it comes to filming footage for my video I may decide to change a few of my ideas if they don't work out.

I have had some difficulties in uploading my animatic but it will be uploaded soon.

Here are my storyboards for my chosen song, as you can see they don't all have images this is because the shots will be the same for my chorus. I will use these images to create an animatic.

Analysis of lyrics

Before going on to creating my storyboards for my chosen song, I decided that first of all I would analysis the lyrics so I would have a better understanding of them and would know what the video would show for certain lyrics.

Feedback from target audience

For my target audience research I have asked three people of my target audience five questions about my treatment. I decided to record this in a different way so videoed each person individually with me asking them the questions and them answering them. The five questions I asked were:
1)What would you say is this best thing about my music video?
2)Do you think the idea for my music video goes well with my song choice?
3)Would you say my chosen music video is similar to other Taylor Swift vidoes?
4)Name one bad point about my idea
5)If I had to make improvements what would they be?
