Shot List

Here I have created a shot list of all shots throughout my music video. I have done this in order from beginning to end. I have tried to use a wide range of shots to make my video stand out and look different to others. I will use this as a guide when I beginning filming at various locations.

Practicing Lip Syncing

Chelsea Wilkie lip syncing to Jessie J- Stand Up.

This is Chloe Robinson's Lip Syncing Jessie J- Nobodys Perfect, she will play the main character in my music video and feel she will be able to do the lip syncing well.

This is Harriet Nash lip syncing to Bruno Mars- The Lazy Song.

This is Me lip syncing to Jessie J- Who you are, this is one of the songs I will be lip syncing too in my friends music video.

Today we started to practice lip syncing in a group, we all choose a song each and individually sang to the song with the song playing. We are now going to upload each of the videos to the Macs and cut out the sound of the videos, we are then going to edit the videos to the song by putting the clip and the song into Final Cut and edit them together. They will then roughly be about 10-15 seconds long.

Taking location photos

Yesterday I decided to go out and take more location photographs so I could vary my locations. I chose a range of locations where my artist could sit down while playing guitar. The locations I chose were similar but also different as some of them had benches where she could sit or grassy areas. The location I like the most was where there was different steps that she can sit on with her guitar, this means I can use different shots on different steps. I will now upload the location photos onto my location post.

Mise-en-scene

From considering casting and locations I have now moved on to considering props and costume for my video. I have decided that the main character will be dressed differently in different shots, her style will be girly with natural make-up and wavy hair.

This is like the style of Taylor Swift. In some scenes she will be wearing dresses and in other scenes wearing casual 'comfy' clothes when the character is in her room such as pyjamas. The characters friends will also be dressed in a similar style to her, being very girly and fashionable.

The other main male character in my music video will also be stylish and be wearing jeans and a shirt throughout my video. This will also show current trends at the moment.

The props in my video are things such as a guitar, a mobile phone, a digital clock and photographs. These different props will be used at different times throughout my video and the guitar will be one of the main props used the others are not used as much.
